Description

Investigate innovative machine learning and artificial intelligence techniques to address health data challenges. Design and implement machine learning pipelines. Model complex problems, discover insights, and identify opportunities using statistical, algorithmic, and visualization techniques. Process, clean, and verify the integrity of data used for analysis. Validate findings through an experimental and iterative approach and effectively communicate results.

Minimum Qualifications

• Expertise in at least one area of machine learning and artificial intelligence (e.g., self-supervised learning, multi-modal ML, model optimization, NLP, LLM).
• Strong interest in applying machine learning to health and fitness-related problems and data.
• Ability to translate vague product experiences into concrete problem definitions.
• Experience programming in Python, C/C++, or similar languages to manipulate data, extract insights from large datasets, and train machine learning models.
• 3+ years of practical experience applying ML to solve real-world problems or relevant research and analytics experience.
• MS or PhD in Computer Science, Machine Learning, AI, Statistics, Mathematics, or related fields.

Preferred Qualifications

• Desire to learn and master new technologies and techniques.
• Passion for developing robust and scalable methods.
• 5+ years of experience building ML and AI models for real-world applications.
• Excellent communication and presentation skills.
• Proficiency with large-scale model training using frameworks like TensorFlow or PyTorch, and experience with data analysis tools such as NumPy, SciPy, pandas, Spark.
• Strong fundamentals in problem-solving, algorithm design, and model development.
• Passion for creating impactful new technologies.

Note: The base pay range for this role is between $143,100 and $264,200, depending on skills, qualifications, experience, and location. Apple offers additional benefits including stock programs, comprehensive medical and dental coverage, retirement plans, educational reimbursements, and more. Benefits are subject to eligibility and other terms.
