Job summary

RTX in Tucson, AZ is seeking a Program Manager for the AIM-9X Sidewinder program to lead execution, manage schedules, and oversee cost accounts and EAC. You will drive schedules, budgets, risk plans, and supplier performance, while communicating with senior leaders and customers.

This onsite role requires a university degree (or equivalent) with 10+ years of experience, and a current U.S. security clearance.

Qualifications

  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience with minimum 10 years of prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field with minimum 7 years of experience.
  • Prior financial management or CAM experience.
  • Prior Program/Project management experience.

Responsibilities

  • Drive execution of schedule needs in alignment with other program execution requirements.
  • Execution, and reporting of material and labor budgets, financial management, and estimate at completion reporting.
  • Support supplier and subcontractor negotiations and performance management.
  • Generate risk and opportunity management plans, including CORE activities.
  • Support leadership reviews, including Gate Reviews, Program Reviews, and Customer Reviews.
  • Work closely with the Execution leadership team and functional leaders to integrate strategy, communications, planning, continuous improvement, and execution discipline.
  • Lead internal and external (Customer) portfolio communication and reporting cadence, continuity and content coordination.
  • Display strong oral and written communication and presentation skills with senior leadership and external customers.
  • Influence actions and change management.

The AIM-9X Sidewinder Missile program is seeking a Program Manager to join the team. This position is a key member of the AIM-9X team, leading the program’s execution requirements, which include EAC support, schedule management, and other CAM related responsibilities. You possess hands‑on experience in production, sustainment, cost account management, and EAC oversight, and you thrive in fast‑paced environments with demanding schedules.

This is an onsite position located at our Tucson, AZ facility

Will You Do

What You Will Learn

Raytheon and RTX Business Acumen SBU & SSBU organizational structure, responsibilities amongst the programs and the functional areas, and deliverables.

Qualifications You Must Have
  • Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum of 10 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 7 years' experience
  • Prior financial management or CAM experience
  • Prior Program/Project management experience
Qualifications We Prefer
  • Program Management Level 6 Certification or equivalent
  • Strong business acumen to proactively identify and resolve issues quickly and efficiently
  • Experience with development and/or production programs
  • Earned Value Management experience managing cost, schedule, and/ or technical performance
  • Demonstrated success creating and maintaining strong relationships with suppliers, customers, government representatives, and peers
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office (i.e., Word, Excel and Power point)
  • Strong communications skills
  • Well-organized with the ability to prioritize and manage multiple priorities

Location and Security Clearance

Location: Tucson, AZ

This position requires a security clearance. DCSA Consolidated Adjudication Services (DCSA CAS), an agency of the Department of Defense, handles and adjudicates the security clearance process. Compensation

The salary range for this role is 132,400 USD - 251,600 USD. The salary range provided is a good faith estimate representative of all experience levels. RTX considers several factors when extending an offer, including but not limited to, the role, function and associated responsibilities, a candidate’s work experience, location, education/training, and key skills.
