Job summary

RTX seeks a Production Program Manager for the AIM-9X program at the Tucson, AZ site to lead production, depot, and transition-to-production efforts, coordinating cross-functional teams and driving on-time contract deliveries amid growing DoD and FMS demand.

You will own program risks, manage P&L, report metrics, and collaborate with customers and supplier leadership; active US Secret clearance is required. This onsite role offers growth and impact on a storied, combat-proven missile program.

Qualifications

• Typically requires a University Degree or equivalent experience and minimum 12 years prior relevant experience, or an Advanced Degree in a related field and minimum 10 years’ experience.
• Prior Program/Project Management Experience
• Prior P&L (Profit & Loss) Experience
• Active US Secret Security Clearance

Responsibilities

• Accountability for profit and loss, AOP and financial metrics for AIM-9X production new build contracts
• Deploying and maintaining a clear program execution methodology that provides clarity and visibility into execution status
• Driving the expectation of maintaining a positive team dynamic and the development of team leaders within the production leadership team
• Partnering with the Depot and TTP Program Managers to leverage shared factory resources
• Leading an established recovery effort to restore on-time production new build contract deliveries
• Building and maintaining collaborative relationships with customer counterparts
• Supporting proposal activities for follow-on work and establishing investment strategies
• Deploying execution plans to add new FMS customers
• Communicating with supplier leadership and internal supply chain stakeholders to drive execution corrective actions
• Ability to travel domestically as needed
