Job summary

Clear Creek ISD Falcon Pass Elem in Houston is seeking an Aide - SPED SD for the 2026-27 school year to support identified students with disabilities in a district social development class.

You will assist the teacher with instruction, implement behavior interventions, monitor progress, and help maintain confidentiality of student records while collaborating with staff and families.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED is required.
• Educational Aide II certification is required.
• 15 college hours or passing score on Paraprofessional Exam.

Responsibilities

• Assist teacher by providing instruction and behavioral interventions for identified students.
• Use safe procedures of physical intervention with acting-out students.
• Implement positive and negative reinforcement for student behaviors.
• Supervise time-out and/or isolation of students.
• Monitor and document data for student records.
• Prepare instructional materials and routine records.
• Monitor students in settings outside the special education classroom.
• Maintain student confidentiality at all times.
• May supervise classroom activities in the absence of the teacher.

Primary Purpose

Assist the teacher in providing instruction to identified students with disabilities in a district specialized social development class. Actively engage in actions that contribute to the overall mission and strategic plan of Clear Creek ISD.

Qualifications

Education/Certification/Licensure

High school diploma or GED

Educational Aide II certification

15college hours or passing score on Paraprofessional Exam

Special Knowledge/Skills

Effective communication and interpersonal skills

Minimum of 8 hours training in physical restraint and crises intervention

Objective data communication

Experience

Verifiable experience working with children (e.g., daycare, Sunday school, sports, girl/boy scouts)

Major Responsibilities and Duties
