Job summary

Mayde Creek Junior High in Houston, Texas is seeking a dedicated Aide - SPED - Resource/ICS to support classroom instruction under the supervision of the Principal and SPED teachers. • Assist teachers with classroom management and behavioral plans. Perform other duties as assigned.
• Maintain confidential student records.
• Other SHARS Duties as assigned.
• Provide Personal Care as identified in applicable student IEPs.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:

Working Conditions:

Maintain emotional control under stress. Frequent standing, stooping, bending, kneeling, pushing, and pulling. Move small stacks of textbooks, media equipment, desks, and other classroom or adaptive equipment. May be required to lift and position students with physical disabilities; control behavior through physical restraint; and assist nonambulatory students. Expose to biological hazards.
