Job description

Join to apply for the Aide, Physical Therapy I role at AHMC HealthCare.

Under immediate supervision of the Director of Rehabilitation Services and the Lead Therapist, the Physical Therapy Aide will assist in department needs. Responsibilities include assisting in patient preparation and treatment from adolescent to geriatric, caring for equipment, and performing related duties. The population served includes adolescents, adults, and geriatrics.

Responsibilities:
  1. Participate in patient care activities, coordinate daily schedules with therapists, and update schedules throughout the day.
  2. Assist therapists with patient treatment as directed.
  3. Set up and prepare patient rooms and gym areas according to the needs of the physical therapists.
  4. Ensure rooms and gym areas are clean, safe, and organized.
  5. Perform clerical tasks such as scheduling patients and maintaining accurate patient charts.
Minimum Education:
  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • 1-2 years of college coursework related to Physical Therapy or a healthcare degree.
Experience:
  • Previous PT Aide experience preferred.
Certifications/Licensure:
  • Current BLS (Basic Life Support) certification through the American Heart Association.
Skills and Abilities:
  • Basic computer skills required.
