Job summary

Fenwick & West LLP seeks a high-impact technology intern to design, build, and ship AI-native workflows. You’ll work with leadership to design solutions across business development, intelligence, and legal operations, collaborating with non-technical domain experts.

The role is part-time, non-exempt, 16 hours/week, located in US offices with occasional in-person work, through fall 2026 and into winter 2027. Anticipated pay: $21–$25/hr.

Qualifications

• Must be enrolled in CS, data science, industrial engineering, economics or related technical program.
• Able to work a minimum of 16 hours per week and commute to an office sometimes.
• Hands-on programming experience (Python preferred) and comfort with APIs, LLMs and coding tools.
• Experience translating ideas into prototypes and measuring outcomes with experiments.
• Ability to explain technical concepts to non-technical users and gather feedback.
• Cloud platform experience (Azure Databricks, Microsoft Fabric or similar) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Design and engineer AI-native workflows for business development, intelligence, and operations.
• Build, test, and ship workflows with leadership collaboration.
• Prototype ideas and iterate based on evidence and results.
• Collaborate with non-technical users to translate needs into technical specs.
