Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead the Agentic Video Editing engineering team. You will mentor engineers, set priorities, and align with Product Managers to translate bold goals into dependable, scalable creator experiences.

You will drive technical roadmaps, mentor talent across multiple sites, and partner with research, product, and partner teams to deliver production-grade AI video tooling at scale.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience with software development.
• 5 years of experience in a people management or team leadership role.
• 2 years of experience with GenAI techniques (e.g., LLMs, Multi-Modal, Large Vision Models) or with GenAI-related concepts (language modeling, computer vision).

Responsibilities

• Set and communicate team priorities that support the broader organization's goals.
• Set clear expectations with individuals based on their level and role and aligned to the broader organization's goals.
• Develop the long-term technical goals and roadmap within, and often beyond, the scope of your teams.
• Oversee systems designs within the scope of the broader area, and review product or system development code to solve ambiguous problems.
• Review code developed by other engineers and provide feedback to ensure best practices.
