Job summary

Google is seeking a Software Engineering Manager to lead a team focused on content automation within the Operations Intelligence group. You will mentor engineers, define the technical roadmap, and ensure delivery of scalable systems across multiple sites globally.

You will oversee end-to-end development, collaborate with product managers, data scientists, and operations, and apply ML/NLP where appropriate to improve automation and content workflows.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 8 years of experience in software development.
• 3 years of experience with full-stack development (backend: Java/Python/Golang/C++ and frontend: JavaScript/TypeScript/HTML/CSS).
• 3 years of experience in a technical leadership role.
• 2 years of experience in people management or team leadership.

Responsibilities

• Build, mentor, and manage an engineering team focused on content automation, fostering career development and technical excellence.
• Define and drive the technical strategy, roadmap, and architecture for content automation systems.
• Oversee end-to-end software development lifecycle for the team, ensuring timely, scalable, and maintainable solutions.
• Partner with content strategists, product managers, operations teams, data scientists, and stakeholders to gather requirements and maximize impact.
• Advocate engineering best practices and drive high standards for code quality and system design, including ML/NLP where appropriate.
