Job summary

FutureProofing is seeking a design-minded UI/UX professional for remote freelance work across the US and LATAM. The ideal candidate blends strong UI/UX fundamentals with an experimental, AI-native mindset, leveraging Higgsfield and other tools to push web/app design beyond templates.

Role begins with individual projects and can develop into an ongoing partnership as we build a trusted network of designers. Familiarity with Framer, Webflow, and Figma is highly valued.

Compensation: Competitive / project-based freelance or contract, depending on experience

Are you a UX/UI designer who thinks beyond templates? Do you know how to create websites or apps that feel cinematic, premium and visually distinctive — and are you excited about using AI tools like Higgsfield to push web / app design further? We're looking for designers who combine strong UI/UX fundamentals with an experimental, AI-native creative mindset.

We are expanding our network of exceptional UI/UX designers who can help us create high-quality websites and applications for clients.

We are particularly interested in designers who understand how to combine traditional design skills with modern AI creative tools. Higgsfield experience is a major differentiator, especially if you have used it to create visual assets, motion, video, cinematic compositions or other elements that can make a website or app feel more dynamic and memorable.

The goal is not simply to find someone who can make a clean website.

We want designers who can take a client brief and turn it into a compelling digital experience — from visual direction and UX through UI, motion, imagery and final execution.

This role may begin with individual freelance projects and can develop into an ongoing partnership as we build a network of trusted designers.

About the Company

We work with businesses to create modern, high-quality digital experiences and websites.

We are particularly interested in the intersection of design, AI and creative production using new tools to help us move faster while producing work that still feels intentional, distinctive and professionally designed.

AI-native creative platforms such as Higgsfield are increasingly making it possible to generate and iterate on visual concepts, imagery, video and motion much faster than traditional workflows. Higgsfield's current website-building and creative tools support workflows spanning website creation, image/video generation and motion design.

We are looking for designers who are excited about that shift and want to use these capabilities as part of their creative process rather than simply treating AI as a shortcut.

Required knowledge / experience

You have experience with:

• Designing websites, apps and digital experiences
• UI/UX design and responsive web design
• Creating polished, modern visual interfaces
• Translating a business/client brief into a visual concept
• Designing desktop and mobile experiences
• Working with design systems, typography, spacing, grids and visual hierarchy
• Creating or directing visual assets for websites
• Working collaboratively with clients, developers and/or creative teams
• Presenting and explaining design decisions
• Iterating based on feedback

Particularly valuable

• Experience with Higgsfield
• AI-generated image or video workflows
• AI-assisted web design
• 3D or immersive web experiences
• Experience designing websites with AI website builders
• Framer, Webflow, Figma or similar tools
• Experience working with developers to turn designs into production websites

You do not need to be an expert programmer.

However, understanding what is technically possible on the web and being able to design with implementation in mind is highly valuable.

• Create high-quality website / app concepts from a relatively open-ended brief
• Develop a visual direction rather than simply following a template
• Design intuitive user journeys and interfaces
• Use typography, color, imagery and motion intentionally
• Use AI tools to accelerate exploration and iteration
• Explain why a design works, not just what it looks like
• Take feedback without losing sight of the core creative direction
• Work independently and manage projects from brief to delivery

You have

• Strong Figma skills or equivalent
• Strong understanding of UI/UX fundamentals
• Experience with responsive web design
• Familiarity with modern web design trends
• Experience with at least some AI creative tools
• Ability to work remotely and asynchronously
• High attention to detail

Outcomes

In the first 90 days

You will:

• Complete our onboarding and understand our design process
• Review examples of the type of work we want to produce
• Become familiar with our AI-first creative workflow
• Demonstrate your design process through one or more portfolio/project reviews
• Complete an initial project or design exercise
• Experiment with integrating AI-generated visual assets into a web design workflow
• Establish a reliable process for taking a brief from concept through final design
• Build trust with the creative and project team through quality, communication and reliability

You will achieve:

• A strong understanding of our creative standards
• A repeatable workflow for producing high-quality web designs
• At least one project that demonstrates your ability to combine web design with AI-enabled creative production
