Job summary

Omada Health is seeking an experienced Senior Software Engineer to join the agentic systems team, powering AI Transformation across Engineering, Product, and Design. This role sits in the Architecture & Infrastructure department and focuses on building AI-powered workflows and secure, observable AI tooling for internal teams.

Qualifications

• 8+ years of experience as a Software Engineer working on infrastructure, dev tools, or similar enabling internal systems.
• Strong experience building backend services and integrations (REST/GraphQL, event-driven, or service meshes).
• Hands-on experience with at least one modern LLM platform or orchestration layer (e.g., AWS Bedrock, OpenAI, Anthropic, LiteLLM, LangChain).
• Proficiency in at least one modern programming language used for backend and tooling (e.g., Ruby, Python, TypeScript/Node, Go, or similar).
• Experience integrating internal services or third-party APIs into bots, CLIs, chatops workflows, or internal tools.
• Familiarity with AWS cloud infrastructure and secure-by-default patterns for handling secrets, credentials, and sensitive data.
• Experience building Slack apps, chatops tooling, or similar conversational interfaces for internal teams.
• Experience designing or operating MCP/tool gateways, function-calling agents, or other agentic orchestration frameworks.

Responsibilities

• Build AI-powered tools into engineers’ day-to-day workflows (e.g., Claude, VS Code, GitLab, Datadog, internal documentation, Slack chatops).
• Implement and evolve inference and tool-calling pathways using Claude models on Bedrock, LiteLLM, and MCP/tool gateways.
• Partner with teams across Engineering to define AI-augmented SDLC patterns across planning, coding, testing, and operations.
• Prototype and harden Slack-based chatops experiences that safely orchestrate internal services through business-level agentic harnesses.
• Instrument and monitor AI usage, performance, and cost to inform leadership on impact and maturity.
• Collaborate with security, compliance, and infrastructure teams to ensure AI workflows handle PHI/PII safely.
• Create reusable examples, templates, and internal libraries to ease adoption of AI-powered workflows.
• Contribute to training, documentation, and office hours to help engineers, PMs, and designers become confident AI users.
