Job summary

American Electric Power is seeking a senior technology leader to shape the strategic direction of a technology domain and to build and sustain high-performance teams. The role includes establishing data readiness and AI tooling strategies, overseeing data migration, governance, and quality across programs, and partnering with operating companies and business units to deliver reliable technology solutions.

Responsibilities

Build strategic and effective relationships with operating companies and BU leaders.
Provide safety leadership and ensure compliance with NERC CIP, physical and cyber security, ethics, and corporate policies.
Ensure ongoing reliability of technology infrastructure; provide financial leadership including budgeting and planning.
Develop diverse and inclusive teams delivering world-class technology services and a strong customer experience.
Provide training opportunities to grow staff and deepen technical capabilities.
Prioritize area work activities and optimize resource utilization.
Direct disaster recovery and business continuity planning for the Technology organization.
