Job summary

Prolific is seeking AI & Machine Learning Engineers to join our Expert Network and help train and evaluate the next generation of LLMs. You will work on high-precision tasks, reviewing model architectures, data processing, and RLHF feedback, with a focus on performance and safety.

Role involves evaluating explanations of architectures, auditing code and notebooks, and benchmarking model outputs. You will work remotely with flexible hours, earning competitive hourly pay.

Qualifications

• BS, MS, or PhD in Computer Science, AI, Robotics, or related field with ML focus.
• Experience building, deploying, or fine-tuning ML models in production.
• Professional-level understanding of neural networks (Transformers, CNNs, RNNs) and optimization.
• Hands-on experience with Prompt Engineering, RLHF, or RAG workflows.
• Ability to audit complex model logic and training data contamination.
• Attention to detail in spotting hallucinations or biases in model outputs.

Responsibilities

• Evaluate LLM architecture logic for technical accuracy.
• Audit ML-specific code and notebooks for efficiency and correctness.
• Refine RLHF frameworks to align models with human intent and safety.
• Analyze model reasoning and identify breakdowns in CoT prompts.
• Benchmark performance across models using technical metrics.
