Job summary

SpaceXAI in Palo Alto is seeking a hands-on Data Projects Lead to ensure engineering teams get high-quality data for training and evaluation. You will collaborate with model teams and data ops to design impactful data projects, measure data yield and evaluation lift, and drive data integrity across multimodal datasets.

The role requires experience in training/evaluation data, familiarity with AI agents and no/low-code tools, and the ability to translate needs into concrete data work streams.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree, or 4+ years of relevant experience.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, research, product, or operations).
• Experience analyzing datasets to identify trends, anomalies, quality issues, or integrity problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with model and engineering teams to translate needs into high-value data projects and evaluation strategies.
• Own end-to-end delivery of data and evaluation projects that capture training signals and support rapid model development.
• Measure data effectiveness and quantify impact (data yield, eval lift, usage).
• Maintain data integrity and validation processes for factual accuracy; prioritize quality.
• Research and apply data collection, annotation, generation, and multimodal integration techniques.
• Shape model behavior through data work; improve annotation workflows with agents and low-code approaches.
• Manage plans shaping model behavior via data management, optimization, and timelines.
• Act as liaison between engineering, staff, and Human Data teams to drive alignment.
• Collaborate with Human Data Ops to scale projects and report status, insights, blockers.
