SpaceXAI is seeking a data-focused engineer in Palo Alto to ensure engineering teams get high‑quality data and evaluations for rapid model development. You will work at the intersection of model teams and data ops to design impactful data projects and drive measurement of data impact.

You will own end-to-end data and evaluation initiatives, collaborate across teams, and help shape data strategy through robust validation and multimodal data techniques.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or 4+ years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams (engineering, research, product, or annotation/operations).
• Experience analyzing datasets to identify trends, anomalies, quality issues, or integrity problems.

Responsibilities

• Partner with model and engineering teams to translate needs into high-value data projects and evaluation strategies.
• Own end-to-end delivery of critical data and evaluation projects that support rapid model development.
• Measure data effectiveness and quantify impact (data yield, eval lift, usage).
• Maintain data integrity and truthfulness, with rigorous validation processes.
• Research and apply techniques for data collection, annotation, generation, and multi-modal integration.
• Shape model behavior through data management and optimized workflows.
