Job summary

Blue Cross of Idaho seeks an AI Technical Lead to design and deliver scalable AI systems across the enterprise. You will combine hands-on engineering with system architecture to bring AI capabilities from experimentation into production, collaborating with product, data engineering and infrastructure teams.

You will mentor engineers, establish standards, and guide deployment of LLM-based solutions while ensuring governance, security and cost efficiency in a hybrid cloud environment.

Qualifications

• 6+ years of experience in software or ML engineering.
• Experience designing and deploying ML or generative AI systems.
• Strong Python programming and backend skills.
• Experience building distributed, cloud-native architectures.
• Experience implementing ML workflows or model deployment pipelines.
• Mentoring engineers and leading technical initiatives.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical leadership and mentorship to a team of AI engineers.
• Architect end-to-end AI systems including data pipelines and AI service layers.
• Develop and deploy ML/Generative AI solutions for enterprise use cases.
• Design cloud-native infrastructure and containerized deployment pipelines.
• Collaborate with product managers and data teams to deliver AI projects.
• Promote responsible AI practices and governance in production.
