Job summary

Sciata is seeking a Technical Lead for AI Applications to provide hands-on technical leadership across multiple AI-enabled software development initiatives. You will guide development teams, establish engineering best practices, and ensure scalable, secure, high-quality solutions are delivered.

The role requires 7-10+ years of software development experience, REST API expertise (ASP.NET Web API, Node.js, Flask), and strong Azure/AWS cloud experience.

Qualifications

• 7-10+ years of software development experience, including Senior/Lead-level experience.
• Experience building REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API, Node.js, and/or Flask.
• Strong Azure and/or AWS cloud experience.
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and DevOps.
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SOLID, secure coding, and automated testing.

Responsibilities

Location: The Woodlands / Houston, TX - Onsite Required - MUST BE LOCAL not open for those who require relocating.

We are seeking an experienced Technical Lead - AI Applications to provide hands‑on technical leadership across multiple AI-enabled software development initiatives. This individual will guide development teams, establish engineering best practices, conduct code and architecture reviews, and ensure scalable, secure, high‑quality solutions are delivered.

Key Qualifications:

• 7-10+ years of software development experience, including Senior/Lead-level experience
• Experience building REST APIs using ASP.NET Web API, Node.js, and/or Flask
• Strong Azure and/or AWS cloud experience
• Experience with CI/CD, Git, GitHub Actions, Terraform, and DevOps
• Strong understanding of software architecture, SOLID principles, secure coding, and automated testing
• Ability to lead code/design reviews, troubleshoot complex production issues, and mentor developers
• Experience supporting AI-enabled applications or enterprise-scale platforms highly preferred

Must be able to work onsite in The Woodlands/Houston, TX area.
