Newport News Shipbuilding, a division of Huntington Ingalls Industries, is seeking a Foreman to supervise and coordinate semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel. You will train staff, implement practical action plans, and ensure adherence to drawings and procedures.
The role includes responsibility for manufacturing, installation, operation and testing with potential significant impact on company performance. A $5,000 sign-on bonus is available for qualifying hires.
Qualifikationen
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent manufacturing/trades background.
- Apprentice Certification or equivalent hands-on experience.
- 4 years combined manufacturing, shipbuilding, trades or military experience.
- Associate Degree in a Trade/Technical and 3 years of relevant experience.
Aufgaben
- Supervises, assigns, coordinates and evaluates semi-skilled and skilled trades personnel according to their skill, experience and job knowledge.
- Supervises and trains employees to improve quality and quantity of work performed.
- Recommends training to enhance skill and productivity and assists in development of training procedures.
- Responsible for manufacturing, installation, operation, testing, and process operations with significant financial impact.
