Job summary

Virtusan AG, a Swiss-based health coaching platform for sleep, stress and recovery, is hiring its first AI Tech Lead to architect and own the intelligence behind our coach. You will turn biometric signals into personalised programmes, build ML pipelines on Python and Azure, and lead the AI platform roadmap.

You will collaborate with product, design and marketing to shape AI features, ensure privacy of health data, and stay hands-on in prototyping and production.

Qualifications

• 6+ years in ML/AI engineering with 2+ years in a lead role
• Experience taking a product from zero to production
• Proficiency with time-series, recommender systems, and statistics
• Experience with A/B testing, model evaluation, and production monitoring
• Experience with LLMs on Azure OpenAI and LangGraph
• Privacy-aware handling of health data
• Based in Europe and fluent in English

Responsibilities

• Signal interpretation: Turn wearable and in-app data into recovery, stress and sleep insights
• Multi-device data: Normalise metrics across vendors and handle missing data
• Recommendation engine: Personalise protocol sequences by dose and timing
• Feedback loops: Learn from user behaviour and biometric responses
• Evaluation: Offline metrics, online experiments and production monitoring
• AI platform: Own the roadmap, training and serving pipelines, data quality and architecture on Python and Azure stack
• Technical leadership: Make architecture decisions and document them (RFCs, ADRs)
• Privacy: Secure handling of sensitive health data from the start
• Collaboration: Shape AI features with product, design and marketing
