Function Health is seeking a Head of AI to define and execute a cutting-edge AI roadmap, lead advanced research initiatives, and shape the future of health technology. Qualifications

• 10+ years in data science, deep learning, expert systems, generative AI, and ML; or 5+ years with a relevant PhD.
• Proven experience as a technical lead managing researchers, data scientists, or engineers.
• Ability to communicate complex AI concepts to non-technical stakeholders and executives.
• Strong understanding of HIPAA and data privacy regulations.
• Experience deploying AI on cloud and/or edge devices.
• Familiarity with health technologies (e.g., Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, CGMs).
• Start-up experience valued; former founders or early engineering hires.

• Familiarity with Health Technologies: Knowledge of or experience with popular health technologies, such as Oura, Whoop, Apple Watch, and CGMs (Continuous Glucose Monitors). An interest in or experience with health and wellness technologies suggests a passion for leveraging technology to improve personal and community health outcomes
