Job summary

Mclaurin Aerospace in Houston, TX, seeks a Project Engineer / AI&T Technical Lead to drive assembly, integration, and test of the Suit Mass Simulator for NASA Johnson Space Center.

You will coordinate cross-discipline teams, develop AI&T plans, and ensure readiness reviews and hardware test procedures meet EA-WI-023 standards. This role offers exposure to flight-like hardware and mission-critical test campaigns with a fast-paced schedule.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering or related technical field.
• 5–10 years of related aerospace experience or equivalent.
• Experience with hardware assembly, test planning, and anomaly resolution.
• Ability to lead in a matrixed organization with multiple stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Lead the Assembly, Integration, and Test effort for the Suit Mass Simulator, planning and overseeing hardware build and test.
• Coordinate assembly of components, subassemblies, and subsystems for proper configuration and readiness.
• Lead integration with vehicle interfaces and HLS lander systems (C&DH, structures, power, interfaces, instrumentation).
• Develop and maintain AI&T plans, build/test flows, schedules, risk items, and readiness criteria.
• Coordinate across engineering disciplines to ensure proper interfaces and data collection objectives.
• Support hardware test plans, procedures, verification activities, and functional checks.
• Ensure hardware activities comply with NASA-JSC standards and project requirements.
• Support readiness and integration reviews and track technical issues to resolution.
• Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure requirements, interfaces, and data collection objectives are understood.
