Job summary

EY seeks an AI Systems Engineer to own EY’s cloud-native platform, from bare-metal to Kubernetes, across cloud/on‑prem/edge and air-gapped targets. You’ll build a resilient substrate powering EY’s AI-native platform and ensure portability and safety for client work.

Ideal candidates have 8+ years in enterprise infra, strong Kubernetes, GPU scheduling, and IaC/GitOps experience, with a focus on reliability and compliance in regulated environments.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in CS or related field.
• 8+ years building or operating large-scale enterprise infrastructure.
• Hands-on with Kubernetes distributions and full cluster lifecycle management.
• Experience across cloud, on-prem, hybrid, or air-gapped deployments.
• Strong grounding in cluster networking, storage, and multi-tenancy isolation.
• Experience with GPU infrastructure and scheduling.
• Proficient with Infrastructure-as-Code and GitOps tooling.
• Proven track record in regulated environments and cross-functional collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Own the cluster & cloud-native platform: compute, Kubernetes and scheduling, cluster fabric/networking, multi-tenancy, and distributed compute.
• Own the infrastructure foundation: Ubuntu/OS, BMC/bare-metal, DPU, NVAIE GPU/Network/DCGM, provisioning and patching.
• Stand up EY Agentic AI environments across cloud, on-prem, edge, and air-gapped targets with a consistent stack.
• Deliver foundational platform capabilities enabling downstream runtimes and services to run safely and consistently.
• Own cluster lifecycle, autoscaling, GPU pooling, and tenancy boundaries with isolated capacity per tenant.
• Own secure execution/inference and tooling for sandboxed model execution across environments.
• Own cognitive routing and model/prompt selection with latency and cost constraints.
• Collaborate with DevOps on CI/CD and GitOps to keep environments reproducible and drift-free.
• Ensure backup, disaster recovery, and cross-environment replication with patching and supply-chain hygiene.
