Job summary

Caruso Ventures is seeking an AI & Operations Associate to build AI-enabled workflows and production-ready tools across the firm and portfolio companies. The role blends AI, automation, and portfolio operations for a hands-on builder who ships software and drives efficiency.

This in-office position in Boulder, CO requires 4 on-site days per week with one flexible day. Immediate start with occasional after-hours work as needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, data science, engineering, or a related technical field.
• Demonstrated experience using AI-assisted development tools such as Claude Code, Codex, or similar coding agents to build and deploy full-stack applications from initial concept through production.
• Ability to understand, review, debug, and maintain AI-generated code, with working proficiency in TypeScript or Python, SQL, PostgreSQL/Supabase, relational data modeling, schema design and migrations, APIs, data pipelines, and modern full-stack application architecture.
• Strong product judgement: capable of owning a problem from idea to deployment, balancing technical depth with user needs and operational impact.
• Interest in startups, venture capital, and the evolving AI ecosystem.

Responsibilities

• Build, deploy, and maintain full-stack applications end to end, including APIs, databases, integrations, and deployment infrastructure.
• Design and implement AI-powered tools to automate tasks and workflows across Caruso Ventures.
• Evaluate and integrate emerging AI technologies (LLMs, agents, APIs, workflow tools) that enhance team productivity.
• Build custom dashboards and reporting tools to improve visibility across investments, portfolio performance, and internal operations.
• Own or support the digital systems, data flows, integrations, and reporting used by events and programs.
