• Own the AI agents and automation system
• Shape the architecture and prompt-engineering roadmap for chatbot, voicebot, and computer-use agents
• Build backend workflow automations for document validation, record disputes, and transaction orchestration with external insurance carrier systems
• Evaluate emerging AI technologies and decide which technologies to invest in
• Build and ship AI systems to production
• Partner with OpenAI to evaluate and deploy next-generation voice models and workflow automation
• Lead development of the next-generation AI system for automated insurance quoting and customer support
• Enable bots to navigate external systems and resolve complex issues

Requirements

• 5+ years in software engineering
• Ideally experience at an early-stage startup with end-to-end ownership
• Experience putting LLM-based systems into production
• Experience with evaluations, regressions, latency, cost, and failure-handling for LLM systems
• Ability to evaluate emerging AI technologies and explain architectural tradeoffs
• TypeScript, Nest.js, React, GraphQL, AWS, ECS/EKS, Lambda, OpenAI, Anthropic Claude, and Google Gemini experience
• Must currently reside in an eligible U.S. state or Ontario, Canada
• Must be legally authorized to work in the U.S. or Canada
• Full-time salaried employment eligibility for residents of AZ, CA, CO, FL, GA, IL, MA, NC, NJ, NV, NY, OR, TN, TX, UT, VA, or Ontario, Canada
