Job summary

AbbVie is seeking an AI Support Engineer to join our Regulatory Affairs team in the United States. This associate-level role focuses on identifying and evaluating emerging technology solutions, with emphasis on AI capabilities to improve efficiency and compliance.

The successful candidate will work with stakeholders, document findings, and support pilots and proofs of concept, translating regulatory needs into practical technology solutions.

Qualifications

• Foundational understanding of technology concepts, including software applications, data management, or systems analysis.
• Demonstrated exposure to process improvement methodologies or participation in technology-related projects in an academic, internship, or professional setting.
• Familiarity with artificial intelligence, machine learning, or automation concepts, including awareness of common use cases and general principles of responsible AI.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to engage effectively with both technical and non-technical audiences.
• Proficiency in enterprise collaboration tools (e.g., Microsoft 365, SharePoint, Teams) and standard business productivity applications.
• Demonstrated ability to manage multiple tasks, prioritize effectively, and meet deadlines in a structured team environment.
• Strong attention to detail, intellectual curiosity, and a proactive approach to learning and problem-solving.

Responsibilities

• Partner with Regulatory Affairs stakeholders to understand processes, workflows, and pain points, identifying opportunities where AI can add value.
• Assist in evaluating AI tools, platforms, and capabilities for Regulatory Affairs, documenting findings and recommendations for review.
• Collaborate with teams to plan, coordinate, and execute pilots, POCs, and technology evaluations.
• Document business requirements, user stories, and process maps to translate regulatory needs into tech solutions.
• Support data gathering, research, and workshops focused on workflow analysis and optimization.
• Ensure AI use cases are evaluated for responsible, ethical, and compliant practices.
