Job summary

Plex Consulting, LLC is seeking an AI Engineer Consultant to join our hybrid team in Phoenix. You will partner with executives to identify value-driven AI use cases, design strategy roadmaps, and architect end-to-end AI/ML solutions across data pipelines, model development, and deployment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent practical experience.
• 5+ years of experience in data engineering, data science, ML engineering, or AI/analytics consulting with client-facing work.
• Proven ability to deliver technical implementations and advise on AI/ML strategy.

Responsibilities

• Identify and scope high-value AI and GenAI use cases aligned with client objectives.
• Develop AI strategy roadmaps, maturity assessments, and business cases including ROI and risk analyses.
• Advise on governance, responsible AI, data readiness, and organizational change needed to operationalize AI.
• Architect end-to-end AI/ML and data solutions from pipelines to deployment.
• Translate business problems into technical requirements and delivery plans.
• Evaluate tools and cloud services suitable for client environments.
• Design GenAI solutions including RAG, agentic workflows, and prompt engineering.
• Lead or contribute to production-grade AI solutions and guide engineering teams.
