Job summary

STI in Colorado’s public sector seeks an AI Program Manager within the Chief Data Office to lead strategy and execution of an AI framework across agencies. Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in CS, data science, or related field.
• 5+ years of AI experience including ML, DL, NLP, and CV.
• 5+ years of leadership experience with strategic initiatives.
• Experience defining product vision, strategy, and roadmaps.
• Experience with cross-functional teams and AI-driven products.
• Public sector or government experience is desirable.
• Strong strategic thinking and communication skills.
• Understanding of data governance, security, and privacy best practices.

Responsibilities

• Define vision, strategy, and roadmap for AI adoption across state government.
• Collaborate with agency stakeholders and OIT resources to identify and prioritize AI opportunities.
• Guide development and deployment of AI solutions with product managers.
• Provide expert advice on AI-related matters including data governance and responsible AI practices.
• Stay abreast of GenAI advances and assess vendor solutions for state use.
• Ensure governance, compliance, and accountability across AI initiatives.
