Job description

This is a role with Slalom's East Shared and Emerging team – we are open to hiring in many locations and travel will be required as needed by our clients.

Join Slalom's East Generative AI team as an AI Strategist if you're passionate about integrating artificial intelligence into business strategies. This role involves guiding clients through complex AI / ML strategies, with a focus on industry-specific challenges in data privacy and security. Ideal for those with a strong blend of technical and business acumen, you'll leverage advanced AI technologies to create impactful solutions and articulate their benefits to senior executives in a dynamic, multidisciplinary environment.

What You’ll Do

  • Generative AI & AI Strategy Development : You collaborate and co-develop bespoke AI demonstrations, business cases (ROI) and presentations for named client buyers.
  • Business Development : Lead business development activities to grow the East AI team; identify opportunities & sell services to both new and existing clients
  • Industry Subject Matter : You know the industry vocabulary, current regulatory and compliances context, associated with data privacy, security and ethical considerations.
  • Market Presence & Thought Leadership : Establish market awareness and following around your research and Slalom’s AI capabilities within your industry vertical.
  • Partner Confidence : Work closely with our partner vertical leaders to develop joint thought leadership, GTM strategies and events as well as participate vertical account team planning and QBRs.

What You’ll Bring

  • 5+ years experience leading the developmentof AI / ML strategies and solutions, including Advanced AI (ie. Generative AI, Natural Language Processing, Computer Visioning, LLMs, etc)
  • 10+ years of total professional experience in data & analytics, software engineering, or another relevant technical field
  • Experience acquiring new clients / generating revenue of 2.5M+ to an organization
  • Deep industry experience, preferably in Lifesciences & Healthcare
  • Strong business acumen with ability to articulate AI benefits to senior executives
  • Strong collaborator who enjoys working in a multi-discipline environment to develop the most comprehensive and effective AI strategies and solutions.
  • Thought leader on the potential of AI as well as the challenges and limitations of real-world AI implementations.
  • Comfortable dealing with ambiguity and rapid change

Slalom is committed to fair and equitable compensation practices.This position is eligible to hire in multiple locations across the East Coast, and at two levels (Senior Principal and Director).

In New York, the base salary pay range for the Senior Principal level role is $167,000 to $258,000.

In New York, the base salary pay range for the Director level role is $192,000 to $307,000.

In New Jersey, the base salary pay range for the Senior Principal level role is $153,000 to $237,000.

In New Jersey, the base salary pay range for the Director level role is $175,000 to $281,000.

In Connecticut, the base salary pay range for the Senior Principal level role is $140,000 to $217,000.

In Connecticut, the base salary pay range for the Director level role is $161,000 to $258,000.

In addition, individuals may be eligible for an annual discretionary bonus. Actual compensation will depend upon an individual’s skills, experience, qualifications, location, and other relevant factors. The salary pay range is subject to change and may be modified at any time.
