Job summary

Cloudian, Inc is seeking an AI Storage Solution Architect to design, implement, and optimize enterprise-scale storage solutions. You will lead technical engagements, architect HyperStore deployments, and guide data migration and hybrid cloud strategies for large customers.

The role demands deep distributed storage expertise, hands-on HyperStore experience, and the ability to translate complex technical concepts into business value while collaborating with sales, customers, and engineering teams.

Qualifications

5+ years of experience in storage architecture, preferably with object storage systems.
Hands-on experience with Cloudian HyperStore installing, configuring, testing and troubleshooting or similar distributed storage platforms (Ceph, MinIO, NetApp StorageGRID).
Experience with AI training and inference workflows, specifically with their I/O requirements.
Experience integrating AI connectors such as PyTorch, Multi Storage Client and/or performance testing with NIXLBench and KVBench.
Deep understanding of S3 API, REST protocols, and cloud storage standards.
Experience with Linux system administration, networking, and virtualization technologies.
Proficiency in scripting languages (Python, Bash, PowerShell) for automation.
Proven track record designing and implementing enterprise-scale storage solutions.
Experience with data center architecture, including compute, storage, and networking components.
Knowledge of backup and disaster recovery strategies for large-scale environments.
Understanding of compliance requirements (GDPR, HIPAA, SOX) and data governance.
Experience with hybrid cloud architectures and multi-cloud strategies.

Responsibilities

Design and architect Cloudian HyperStore solutions tailored to customer requirements.
Develop technical specifications and system diagrams per customer requirements.
Ensure solution designs align with security, compliance, and performance requirements.
Collaborate with engineering teams to influence product roadmap based on customer needs.
Lead technical discussions with enterprise customers during pre-sales, implementation, and post-sales phases.
Conduct technical workshops, proof-of-concepts, and architecture reviews.
Provide technical guidance on data migration strategies and hybrid cloud integrations.
Serve as primary technical escalation point for complex customer issues.
Participate in deployment of Cloudian HyperStore clusters in on-premises.
Configure and optimize storage policies, replication strategies, and data lifecycle management.
Implement monitoring, alerting, and backup strategies for production environments.
Troubleshoot complex performance and scalability issues.
Provide technical expertise during sales cycles and RFP responses.
Develop best practices documentation and deployment guides.
Stay current with emerging storage technologies and industry trends.
