Job summary

Computacenter is seeking a senior storage architect to own AI data center storage architectures, spanning training, inference, checkpointing, and data pipelines. You will lead technical discovery, design high-performance storage, and collaborate with GPU, network, and services teams to deliver scalable, end-to-end solutions.

You will size platforms, develop reference designs and BOMs, and drive performance tuning and validation across end-to-end paths.

Qualifications

• 7+ years in enterprise storage, HPC, or related roles.
• Deep expertise in high-performance storage and AI data platforms.
• Knowledge of parallel file systems, scale-out NAS, object storage, and NVMe.
• Translate workload requirements into capacity and performance sizing.
• Experience supporting AI/ML, HPC, hyperscale, or cloud environments.
• Understanding storage networking and data-path interactions with GPU compute.

Responsibilities

• Lead technical discovery and storage architecture for AI Data Center opportunities.
• Design high-performance storage for AI training, inference, RAG, and data pipelines.
• Architect scale-out file systems, object and block storage for GPU workloads.
• Translate requirements into capacity, throughput, IOPS, and latency targets.
• Size storage platforms based on GPU cluster scale and data growth.
• Develop reference architectures, BOMs, and sizing models.
• Benchmark, validate, and optimize storage across end-to-end paths.
• Collaborate with GPU/Compute and Network Solution Architects to reduce bottlenecks.
• Support RFQs/RFPs, proofs of concept, and architecture reviews.
