Job summary

The University of Texas at Austin, housed at the Charles A Dana Center, seeks an AI & STEM Innovation Specialist to lead research-grounded learning experiences and professional learning in AI, data science, and STEM.

You will work on postsecondary and workforce alignment, developing resources, frameworks, and partnerships to scale innovative teaching across PK-12 and higher education.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in mathematics, mathematics education, data science, data science education, science, science education, computer science, STEM education, or related field.

Responsibilities

• Design high-quality instructional materials, resources, frameworks, and professional learning that integrate AI, data science, computational thinking and STEM.
• Develop phenomenon- and place-based learning experiences connecting math, science, literacy, data and tech to authentic questions.
• Create guidance and tools for responsible integration of AI and emerging tech into teaching and learning.
• Support AI and STEM initiative implementation including planning, timelines, and deliverables.
• Collaborate with internal and external partners to ensure quality and coherence across projects.
• Refine project strategies, tools, and approaches to scale AI and STEM initiatives across education systems.
• Contribute to data collection, analysis, reporting, and continuous improvement processes.
