Job summary

Avalara is seeking an AI Solutions Lead within Customer Onboarding Operations to oversee AI solution intake, tracking, and delivery from request to data access, prototyping, UAT, and production. This role aims to accelerate AI-enabled operational delivery and raise engineering standards across a globally distributed team.

Responsibilities include leading AI lifecycle, collaborating with Data Engineering for data access, and ensuring governance and security standards are met before going live.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in a technical field or related area.
• Experience leading AI-enabled solutions in a large enterprise.
• Proven ability to manage data access, security, and governance for AI projects.

Responsibilities

• Lead AI solution lifecycle from intake to production across onboarding operations.
• Collaborate with Data Engineering to provision data access and enforce security protocols.
• Coordinate with AI CoE Governance Board to meet security, legal, and risk requirements.
• Drive onboarding velocity by embedding AI-assisted coding, testing, and architecture exploration.
