Job summary

Atkore International is seeking an AI Solutions Engineer to design and implement AI agent runtimes and enterprise integrations across ERP, MES, CRM, and data platforms. You will translate AI use cases into scalable, observable solutions and partner with IT and business teams to operationalize AI securely.

Qualifications

• BS/BA in Computer Science, Business or related field
• 5+ years of backend software development or enterprise systems integration
• Proficiency in Python, RESTful API design, and data serialization formats such as JSON and YAML
• Experience with enterprise data platforms, message queues, or service buses
• Working knowledge of AI and agent-based architectures, including LLM APIs
• Hands-on experience with public cloud platforms (Azure preferred)
• Familiarity with data platforms and analytics ecosystems for enterprise data
• Familiarity with SDLC and Agile delivery processes
• Strong analytical, problem-solving, and collaboration skills
• Ability to communicate with technical and non-technical stakeholders
• Experience integrating with legacy systems, manufacturing, or OT environments

Responsibilities

• Design, build, and maintain AI agent runtime environments
• Develop connectors and integrations with ERP, MES, CRM, databases, and file systems
• Expose data and process access via REST, GraphQL, or other APIs
• Implement observability, logging, and error-handling frameworks
• Collaborate with business analysts, product owners, and apps teams to productionize AI integrations
• Contribute to shared metadata standards and interface contracts
• Support secure, scalable AI adoption aligning with cyber security and governance
• Stay current on AI agent architectures and enterprise integration patterns
• Work with Data Engineering, Application Integration, and IT teams to enable AI use cases across operations
