Job summary

MGT Consulting Group is seeking an AI Solutions Architect to design and implement AI-powered solutions for state and local government clients. You will build RAG pipelines, architect data flows, and connect AI capabilities to existing enterprise systems.

Ideal candidates bring hands-on LLM-based development experience, strong problem-solving, and excellent communication to deliver solutions in a consulting setting. Remote-friendly with travel as needed.

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience with LLM-based app development or related AI architectures.
• Ability to translate business needs into AI solution designs.
• Experience with cloud AI services is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Design end-to-end AI solution architectures for client engagements.
• Build retrieval-augmented generation pipelines and agentic workflows.
• Architect data pipelines connecting AI to client data sources.
• Connect agents with enterprise systems using MCP standards.
• Develop reusable components and accelerators for multiple engagements.
• Collaborate with leads and SMEs to translate requirements into designs.
• Present architectures and recommendations to leadership and clients.
• Participate in discovery sessions to identify high-impact use cases.
