Job summary

The Dixon Group is seeking a motivated AI Solutions & Automations Intern to help identify, develop, test, and deploy AI solutions that improve business performance. This internship is designed for a student to gain hands-on experience applying AI in a real business environment, working with business leaders and technology teams.

Location: Chestertown, MD. Pay range is $18.00 to $24.00 per hour, with a minimum of 10 hours per week and two-hour blocks. Fall and Spring opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited college or university.
• Pursuing a degree in Computer Science, Data Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business Analytics, or a related field.
• Available to work a minimum of 10 hours per week.
• Ability to work in blocks of at least 2 hours at a time.
• Strong communication and problem‑solving skills.
• Interest in AI, automation, and emerging technologies.

Responsibilities

• Assist in evaluating business processes and AI-driven improvements.
• Help design and test AI agents, automation workflows, and productivity tools.
• Participate in meetings with business stakeholders to understand operational needs.
• Conduct research on emerging AI technologies and best practices.
• Assist with prompt engineering, workflow design, and solution testing.
• Help document AI projects, business requirements, and implementation plans.
• Support user training and AI adoption initiatives.
• Participate in developing and maintaining AI governance and security documentation.
• Monitor performance and reliability of deployed AI tools.
• Create reports summarizing project outcomes and recommendations.
