Job summary

Worky is seeking a Software Engineer to join a cross-disciplinary team of engineers, scientists, and product professionals. You will design, develop, and maintain software applications that accelerate scientific discovery and support business operations.

You will work with technologies such as AWS, React, Python, and Databricks, contribute to AI-enabled solutions, and participate in Agile planning and delivery.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.
• Understanding of software development fundamentals including programming, testing, debugging, and version control.
• Curiosity, creativity, and a desire to learn new technologies.
• Strong problem-solving and collaboration skills.
• Ability to communicate technical concepts effectively with both technical and non-technical colleagues.

Responsibilities

• Design, develop, test, and maintain software applications that support scientific research and business operations.
• Collaborate with software engineers, scientists, and product teams to deliver solutions addressing real-world challenges.
• Learn and apply modern technologies such as cloud platforms, AI-assisted development tools, web frameworks, and data platforms.
• Contribute to applications built using AWS, React, Python, Databricks, Power Platform, GitHub, and SharePoint.
• Support adoption of AI-enabled solutions and explore emerging technologies that create business value.
• Participate in code reviews, testing, troubleshooting, and continuous improvement activities.
• Document solutions and share knowledge with team members.
• Contribute to Agile product teams through planning, development, and delivery activities.
