Job summary

Boardy is an AI super-connector startup backed by premier investors. We are seeking Founding Software Engineers to join small, high-impact teams.

You will own core product features from design through production, shape architecture, and ship meaningful code from day one, with impact on growth and customer success. We leverage modern backend stacks and AI/ML workflows, including LLM-powered components, to solve novel problems.

Qualifications

• Professional software engineering experience or equivalent internships, research, or open-source work.
• Proficiency in TypeScript and Python for backend development.
• Experience building and operating production-grade APIs and distributed systems.
• Familiarity with SQL/NoSQL data stores, caching layers, and vector databases.
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and scalable, reliable systems.
• Exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or data pipelines.
• Ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end and ship high-quality product quickly.

What You’ll Be Doing

• Owning core product and platform features from design through production

What We’re Looking For

• Professional software engineering experience (or equivalent internships, research, or open-source work)
• Strong proficiency in modern backend languages and frameworks (e.g., TypeScript, Python)
• Experience building and operating production-grade APIs and distributed systems
• Familiarity with modern data stores and search technologies (SQL/NoSQL, caching layers, vector databases)
• Experience with cloud infrastructure and performance, scalability, and reliability concerns
• Exposure to AI/ML systems, LLMs, or data pipelines
• Ability to own ambiguous problems end-to-end and ship high-quality product in a fast-moving startup environment

Below is the annual salary range for candidates located in Canada and the US. Your actual salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, and experience.
