Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Security Engineer to join the Cybersecurity & Technology Controls for AI/ML. You will be a core technical contributor delivering tamper-resistant, audit-defensible security solutions across cloud-native AI/ML platforms.

You will design secure AI architectures, perform threat modeling, and build internal tools and dashboards to support red teaming activities. Collaboration across product, data science, cyber, and risk teams is essential.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in Public Cloud environment concepts.
• Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing (e.g., MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs).
• Proficiency with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, CloudFormation).
• Python scripting proficiency.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI red teaming fundamentals.
• Ability to design and communicate secure technical solutions for enterprise security problems.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance security strategies, red teaming programs, and solution designs.
• Design secure AI and software architectures, review designs and code for adversarial resilience.
• Reduce AI/LLM security vulnerabilities by following standards and testing protocols.
• Collaborate with product, data science, cyber, legal, and risk teams on AI use cases.
• Conduct discovery, threat modeling, and adversarial testing on generative AI and ML systems.
• Provide guidance on secure design, logging, monitoring, and compensating controls for AI applications.
• Define and implement AI red teaming methodologies and playbooks.
• Work with platform and cloud security teams to ensure secure infrastructure.
• Engage with external researchers and vendors to track AI threats and best practices.
• Foster a diverse, inclusive team culture and drive alignment on AI risk mitigation.
