Job summary

JPMorganChase is seeking a Security Engineer to advance secure AI/ML software solutions within Cybersecurity & Technology Controls. You will be a core technical contributor addressing vulnerabilities, designing secure AI architectures, and guiding internal tools and dashboards.

Responsibilities include threat modeling, AI red teaming, and collaboration with product, data science, cyber, legal, and risk teams.

Qualifications

• Formal training or certification in Public Cloud concepts with hands-on experience in cloud-native AI services.
• Experience with threat modeling, discovery, vulnerability, and penetration testing (MITRE ATLAS, OWASP Top 10 for LLMs) and foundational cybersecurity concepts like IAM, Authentication, OIDC, SAML.
• Practical experience with Infrastructure as Code (IaC) solutions like Terraform and CloudFormation.
• Proficiency in Python scripting.
• Strong understanding of AI/ML concepts and AI red teaming foundations.
• Ability to conceptualize, design, validate, and communicate creative technical solutions for enterprise security, including internal tools and dashboards.

Responsibilities

• Develop and enhance security strategies, red teaming programs, and scalable designs.
• Design secure AI/LLM architectures and review designs and code for adversarial resilience.
• Reduce AI security vulnerabilities by following standards, testing protocols, and policies.
• Collaborate with product, data science, cyber, legal, and risk stakeholders on AI use cases.
• Conduct discovery, threat modeling, and adversarial testing on generative AI and ML systems.
• Provide guidance on secure design, logging, monitoring, and compensating controls for AI apps.
• Define AI red teaming playbooks and metrics for safe rollout of AI models.
• Work with cloud security teams to ensure secure infra configurations.
• Engage with external researchers and vendors to track AI threats and best practices.
• Foster diversity and inclusion within the team.
• Collaborate cross-functionally to align AI risk tolerance and mitigation priorities.
