Job summary

Tenable is seeking an AI Security Engineer to join the Information Security team. You will design and mature security controls for AI across Tenable's products and enterprise, focusing on securing AI systems, model governance, and attack surface reduction.

Ideal candidates have hands-on AI security experience, knowledge of ML security threats, and ability to work with cross-functional teams to implement secure AI development and deployment practices.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in information or application security with AI/ML focus.
• Awareness of AI-specific security threats (adversarial ML, data poisoning, prompt injection).
• Knowledge of SSDLC, DevSecOps, and security testing (SAST/DAST/Threat modeling).
• Experience with modern web apps, microservices, and security tools (Burp/ZAP).
• Able to explain AI security risks to both technical and non-technical audiences.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain security controls across the AI/ML lifecycle.
• Lead assessments for LLMs/SLMs and model governance across enterprise AI deployments.
• Develop security reference architectures for AI deployment patterns.
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to integrate security best practices.
• Create security guidance and training for internal teams; measure security behaviors.
