Job summary

Tenable Network Security, Inc. is seeking an AI Security Engineer to help shape and mature security for AI within Tenable's products and the enterprise.

The role focuses on securing AI across applications, cloud, and data governance, with hands-on engineering to design security controls and establish responsible AI standards. You will lead assessments, work with engineering teams to ship secure AI features, and build tooling to raise security posture.

Qualifications

• 2+ years in information security or application security with an interest in securing AI/ML systems.
• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Data Science, or related field preferred.
• Awareness of AI-specific security threats including adversarial ML, data poisoning, prompt injection, model inversion, evasion, and inference attacks.
• Knowledge of data security principles: encryption, masking, tokenization.
• Knowledge of SSDLC, DevSecOps, and security testing (SAST, DAST, SCA, threat modeling).
• Experience with modern web apps, Docker, and microservices; ability to work cross-functionally.

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain end-to-end security controls across the AI/ML lifecycle.
• Assist in implementing guardrails and boundary mechanisms for LLMs, SLMs, and open-source models.
• Monitor AI landscape for vulnerabilities and defend enterprise AI deployments.
• Develop security reference architectures for AI deployment patterns and workflows.
• Deploy controls for model integrity, governance, and access control across models.
