Job summary

Tenable is seeking an AI Security Engineer to shape and mature the company’s approach to securing AI within products and across the enterprise. You will design security controls for AI systems, lead assessments, and help engineering teams ship AI features securely.

You’ll establish security standards for responsible AI, influence decisions, and build tooling to raise security posture. Strong collaboration across teams is essential.

Qualifications

• 5+ years in information security or application security with AI/ML focus
• Master’s Degree preferred; advanced degree preferred
• Deep understanding of AI security threats (adversarial ML, data poisoning, prompt injection)
• Strong coding in Python and/or Go
• Experience with ML frameworks (PyTorch, TensorFlow) and security tooling

Responsibilities

• Design, implement, and maintain AI/ML security controls across lifecycle
• Conduct AI safety assessments and threat modeling for AI/ML systems
• Lead security assessments for AI features and ensure SSDLC integration
• Develop security reference architectures for AI deployment patterns
• Collaborate with engineering and product teams to embed security in AI development
• Drive DevSecOps practices for AI-powered products
• Create security guidance and training for engineering teams
