Charles Schwab in Austin is seeking an AI Security Engineer to help secure the design, deployment, and operation of enterprise AI systems. You will collaborate with senior developers to advance internal AI security libraries and ensure robust safety checks.

The role emphasizes building validators for prompt inputs, output guards, redaction/PII-protection, and strong unit tests, with integration into developers' workflows, CI/CD pipelines, and common frameworks to boost adoption.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• Basic programming skills in Java, .NET or Python
• Understanding of secure coding principles and OWASP basics
• Familiarity with GitHub and CI/CD tools
• Exposure to or strong interest in cloud AI/ML frameworks (e.g., AWS Bedrock, Azure OpenAI, GCP Vertex AI)
• Detail-oriented mindset with the ability to write clean, testable code

Responsibilities
