Job summary

Janus Henderson Investors seeks a hands-on Security Engineer specialized in AI, responsible for securing AI systems across their lifecycle, including models, agents, and the platforms beneath them. You will partner with AI Technology and Infosec to evolve security standards, patterns, and guardrails while balancing risk and delivery velocity.

The role sits within Information Security under the Head of Security Engineering, reporting to AI Technology with hybrid work in our Denver-area or

Qualifications

• Strong cybersecurity background with hands-on engineering in production
• Experience securing GenAI/LLM and AI-enabled solutions
• Proven ability to lead threat modelling, architecture reviews, and risk assessments
• Knowledge of STRIDE, PASTA, MITRE ATT&CK/ATLAS and AI governance practices

Responsibilities

• Act as security design authority for AI systems and ensure secure-by-design patterns
• Define AI security standards, guardrails, and secure defaults in collaboration with architecture teams
• Design identity, entitlement, and secrets patterns for non-human identities across agents and platforms
• Run adversarial testing and build detections, telemetry, and responses for AI systems
• Scale security with automation, dashboards, and KPIs to demonstrate risk reduction
