Job summary

AllianceBernstein in Nashville seeks an AI Security Engineer to design, implement, and defend AI infrastructure. You’ll integrate security into the full AI lifecycle, from data handling to production, collaborating with AI and engineering teams to counter AI-specific threats and ensure resilient systems.

This hands-on role covers red-teaming AI models, securing model weights and pipelines, applying IAM, network segmentation, and secrets management to AI infra, and translating findings for both

Qualifications

• 5–8 years of experience in security engineering with exposure to AI systems.
• Knowledge of information security principles and AI-specific attack vectors.
• Hands-on experience red-teaming or adversarial testing an AI-powered product in production.

Responsibilities

• Assess and harden AI systems against adversarial attacks (evasion, model inversion, membership inference).
• Identify and mitigate AI-specific risks such as prompt injection, jailbreaking, insecure output handling, and data poisoning.
• Red-team and adversarially test AI models and AI-powered applications before and after deployment.
• Secure the AI supply chain, including model weights, dependencies, and deployment pipelines.
• Apply standard security practices (IAM, network segmentation, secrets management) to AI infrastructure.
• Partner with AI and product teams to bake security into AI development from the start.
• Support data privacy and governance efforts including PII handling and data lineage.
• Translate technical findings into clear guidance for engineering and non-technical stakeholders.
• Be on-call for 24x7x365 security operations for AI infrastructure
