Nova Southwestern University seeks a senior security architect to lead security architecture, detection engineering, and cloud/AI security initiatives. You will establish architectural standards, guide risk assessments, and work across university systems to ensure robust protection.

Responsibilities include overseeing SIEM/EDR, cloud security posture, and zero-trust implementation, while mentoring staff and driving security strategy forward in a complex academic environment.

Qualifications

• Comprehensive knowledge of security architecture principles and zero trust models.
• Experience with SIEM, EDR, DLP and secure web gateway.
• Cloud security across AWS, Azure or GCP.
• Understanding of AI/ML security risks and governance.

Responsabilités

• Oversee enterprise security architecture and design standards.
• Engineer and maintain core security platforms (SIEM, EDR, email security).
• Lead detection engineering and reduce false positives.
• Oversee cloud security posture and identity management.
• Define zero trust roadmap and least-privilege access patterns.
• Establish AI security architecture and safeguards for AI services.
• Mentor Security Analysts and review architectural designs.
