Job summary

BIOS Life is building an AI-powered cancer surveillance platform. As an AI Scientist, you will drive research on foundation models, cancer risk prediction, biomarker detection, and reinforcement-learning driven screening strategies.

You’ll shape the scientific roadmap, collaborate with clinicians and engineers, and influence the research culture as an early-stage hire. Boston-area, in-person presence required.

Qualifications

• PhD in a quantitative field (ML/CS/Computational Biology).
• Strong publication record in applied AI and healthcare AI.
• Hands-on experience training and evaluating ML models.

Responsibilities

• Design, train, and evaluate ML models for cancer surveillance.
• Develop RL approaches to personalize screening strategies.
• Fine-tune foundation models for genomic and EHR data.
• Translate research into production-ready pipelines and systems.
• Collaborate with clinical, product, and engineering teams.
• Lead scientific communication via papers and talks.
