Job summary

Talent Edge Recruiting is seeking a Plant Controller for a steel manufacturing client in Osceola, AR. You will own financial integrity from the plant floor to the books, partnering with the GM to influence costing, controls and performance.

You’ll drive AI-powered reconciliations, analysis, and reporting in a fast-paced manufacturing setting. The role requires 5+ years in accounting with manufacturing experience, a Bachelor’s degree, and strong ERP proficiency.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of progressive accounting experience, including month-end close.
• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
• Manufacturing/metals/inventory-intensive operations experience.
• Strong ERP skills across multiple systems; hands-on with AI tools in work.

Responsibilities

• Own plant purchasing controls: PO discipline, approvals, vendor setup, and three-way matching.
• Manage accounts receivable: invoicing, cash application, aging, collections and reconciliations.
• Oversee inventory accounting for coils, WIP, scrap, and packaging materials.
• Lead cycle counts and reconcile physical vs ERP/production records.
• Monitor pounds received, produced, shipped, scrapped; maintain coil traceability.
• Analyze variances in yield, scrap, material usage, freight; support costing.
• Coordinate transactions between Eniteo ERP, Rodeo MES, receiving, production, and accounting.
• Support month-end close, accruals, inventory valuation, and financial reporting.
• Prepare AR aging, purchasing commitments, inventory turns, and variances reports.
• Assist GM with budgets, forecasts, cash requirements, and financial analysis.
