Job summary

TikTok is seeking interns for the Feed Safety-Model & Data Intelligence team. You will work on evaluating AI safety models, developing ground truth datasets, and applying statistical analyses to improve model performance at scale.

You'll collaborate with policy, operations and algorithms teams, gain hands-on experience in governance, NLP, and LLM evaluation, and contribute to data-driven safety decisions that affect billions of users while building a strong foundation for your career.

Qualifications

• Pursuing Undergraduate or Master's in a quantitative field.
• Knowledge of applied statistics and data analysis.
• Foundational AI/ML concepts (NLP, classification, LLMs).
• Interest in governance or content safety at scale.
• Strong structured thinking and goal-oriented approach.
• Proficient in English and Chinese for collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Design and execute evaluation plans for AI safety models.
• Build and maintain high-quality ground truth datasets.
• Analyze model performance with statistical methods.
