Job summary

Systems Planning and Analysis, Inc. (SPA) seeks an AI and Robotics SME for onsite support in Gaithersburg, MD or Boulder, CO, to advise on NIST AI Accelerator program management and R&D activities with AI, cybersecurity, and robotics experts.

You will inventory ongoing research, contextualize it to market needs, and manage accelerator data and IP to maintain a coordinated program. The role requires a Bachelor's in CS/AI field, 10+ years’ experience, PMP, and strong communication skills for

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in computer science or an AI-related technical field.
• 10+ years of progressive professional experience managing complex technology initiatives or advanced R&D programs.
• Demonstrated expertise in executing program operations.
• PMP certification.
• Experience establishing risk management frameworks across AI, robotics, cybersecurity, and smart manufacturing.
• Excellent communication with opportunities at professional conferences or C-suite presentations.
• Ability to develop decision memos and executive briefing materials.
• U.S. citizen or permanent resident.
• Ability to work fully onsite based on client needs.

Responsibilities

• Provide high-level advisory support as a SME for AI and robotics program management.
• Manage day-to-day operations of NIST AI Accelerator R&D activities.
• Support development and adoption of AI-driven tools and robotics in national priority areas.
• Conduct progress reviews and evaluate project deliverables with NIST scientists.
